Who we are?
Women-owned non-profit organisation
Women For Ukraine was created by Ukrainian women living in Denmark. The organisation has officially been launched on January 2, 2023 at the Embassy of Ukraine in Copenhagen. Our aim is to consolidate the efforts of all women in Denmark – Ukrainian, Danish and international – to provide the much needed help and support to Ukraine and especially the Ukrainian women and children, who suffer from the war with Russia.
Together, we will facilitate help for Ukraine in a number of crucial areas, while at the same time strengthen cultural and economic ties between Ukraine and Denmark. Our main focus is on helping and empowering Ukrainian women, assisting them in recovering their lives, and helping them prepare for the key role they will play in rebuilding of Ukraine post-war.
Areas of our activity
Healthcare Assistance
Women for Ukraine actively works to provide healthcare, hospital equipment, and medical aid to civilians affected by war and its consequences in Ukraine. Our focus is on supporting the health and well-being of those impacted by the conflict.
Cultural Support and Collaboration
We are dedicated to assisting and supporting Ukrainian culture, fostering its development, and strengthening cultural collaboration between Denmark and Ukraine. Our initiatives aim to promote mutual understanding and appreciation between the two nations
Support for Ukrainian Refugees in Denmark
Women for Ukraine extends help and support to Ukrainian refugees in Denmark, with a primary focus on women and children. Our efforts include assistance for integration into Danish society and providing support to ease the challenges faced by refugees
Support for Ukrainian Children:
We are committed to helping and supporting Ukrainian children in Ukraine, focusing on their well-being, education, and development. Our initiatives strive to create a positive impact on the lives of children affected by the conflict
Support for Ukrainian Women's Businesses and Organizations
We actively aids and supports Ukrainian women’s businesses and organizations in both Denmark and Ukraine. Our goal is to empower women economically, encouraging entrepreneurship and contributing to the growth of women-led initiatives
Advocacy for Women's Rights in Ukraine
Our organization is dedicated to helping and supporting women’s rights in Ukraine. This involves advocating for gender equality, raising awareness about women’s issues, and supporting initiatives that promote a fair and equitable society.
Promotion of Gender Equality in Ukraine
Women for Ukraine works towards helping and supporting gender equality in Ukraine. Our efforts are directed at fostering an environment where women have equal opportunities and are empowered to contribute to all aspects of society
